Met de leerlingen van het eerste jaar zoeken we tijdens de lessen Nederlands naar een goede studiemethode voor elk soort leerstof. Ook bespreken we welke methode de beste resultaten oplevert. Leerlingen die het wensen kunnen zich hierbij laten begeleiden door het CLB, de coördinatoren en het mentoraat. De Klasleraar: Hij/zij is een van de vakleerkrachten en is vooral de persoon bij wie je in de eerste plaats terecht kunt als je problemen hebt. Hij/zij controleert geregeld de schoolagenda’s samen met de hulpklastitularis, schrijft de rapporten, houdt de klassenraadgegevens bij, ontvangt de ouders op de ouderavond en begeleidt zijn/haar klas tijdens de studiereizen. De juiste dagen en lokalen worden bij het begin van het schooljaar in de schoolagende vermeld. Leerlingen kunnen bijkomende uitleg krijgen over leerstof die zij niet of onvoldoende begrepen hebben in de klas of na een periode van afwezigheid. Voor de instroomleerlingen van 5 TSO wordt er een stoomcursus bedrijfshuishoudkunde georganiseerd.
